This short film tells the incredible story of Pelangsi the Borneo orangutan. Pelangsi was rescued by International Animal Rescue after he was trapped in a snare. He had been trapped for so long that his hand had to be amputated. After eight months of care and rehabilitation by our team, Pelangsi was successfully released back into the wild.

What better way to mark World Orangutan Day 2013 than by releasing this beautiful film, shot by Alego Sabugo and edited by Emma Fiorentini, both volunteers for International Animal Rescue.

To help us continue this important work with these endangered primates, please consider making a donation to International Animal Rescue or volunteer on the IAR Orangutan Project.
