This Easter we wanted to take the chance to spread a little bit of joy in the form of some chocolate care packages, so we headed out to London to meet some people, discuss some animal related issues, and most importantly hand out some chocolate! Let's take a look and see how the day went...
The day began with Leanne adding the finishing touches to some of the bags of Easter treats which needed to be prepped.
As you can see there were a lot of eggs to be packaged up so she was certainly kept busy!
After everything was ready to go, the next step was to load up Ellie's tray and we began our journey into London!
We quickly discovered that the tube in London is not the easiest place to be carrying bags of Easter treats, but the girls smiled through!
We finally arrived at our first destination, Regents Park, to talk to some animal enthusiasts who had been spending some time at the zoo. Ellie was on the lookout for somebody to grab an Easter bag!
After a lot of chats with some excited youngsters and enthusiastic adults, it was time to refill the treats tray and head to our next destination!
On the way back to our Hertfordshire home, we decided to pay a visit to the people of Stratford and giveaway the remaining Easter bags there! As soon as we arrived it was clear that our chocolate was going to go down a treat, and we chatted to a whole host of people!
Eventually though we were down to our last couple of bags, and that was when we came across a duo of dynamic ladies, both of whom were very excited when they spotted Olivia the Orangutan sitting on her tray of chocolate! After sharing with them how they can help Olivia's distant relatives, the real orangutans in Borneo, the orangutan loving ladies were kind enough to pose for a picture, but only on the condition that Olivia took centre stage!
With all of our Easter bags distributed amongst all of the lovely people we saw on our trip to London, it was time to head home and get Olivia back to the office! We loved meeting everyone and hope that we managed to spread a little bit of Easter cheer. Keep your eyes peeled for the next time we are out and about, and if you see us make sure to come over and say hello!
Happy Easter from everyone here at The Great Projects!

Come face to face with one of the world’s most misunderstood predators whilst aiding great white shark conservation. As a volunteer, not only will you get the incredible opportunity to dive with sharks, but you will also assist the team in raising awareness of the great white as you work alongside tourists and local school children to provide them with knowledge of the local environment and the importance of living in harmony with South Africa’s marine life.
