Dragon is an animal which many people would immediately recognise but few know
much about. This tour is the perfect chance to see and learn more about one of
the world’s most mysterious animals first hand. You’ll visit various islands
which the Komodo Dragons call home and also have the chance to relax, swimming and snorkeling in the beautiful clear seas around the islands.
You will arrive at Lauban Bajo Airport and be met by member of staff before being transferred to the hotel. Time permitting in the afternoon; you will also get to enjoy the breathtaking sights of the Batu Cermin Cave, home to many stalactites and stalagmites. Lunch is provided and you will return to the hotel for the night to ensure you are well rested for tomorrow’s activities! (L)
There are many islands located in the Komodo National Park, and after breakfast today you will get the chance to visit one of the larger of these tropical paradises. Rinca Island is home to a wide variety of wildlife including water buffalo, monkeys and of course the Komodo Dragon so you chance of spotting one is high! After an island trek in the warm conditions you will have the chance to refresh yourself with a swim or a snorkel in the crystal clear waters surrounding he island or just rest on the golden beach!
In the afternoon you will jump aboard the boat and enjoy lunch before a leisurely sail to Komodo Island before spending the night on the boat. (B, L, D)
After a relaxing night spent aboard the boat, you will head out onto Komodo Island and follow the trail to Banunggulung, a former feeding ground and an ideal place to watch the Komodo Dragons.
At around mid-day you will begin the return journey to Labuan Bojo, stopping off en-route to visit Pantai Merah – the pink coloured sandy beach! Here you can swim and snorkel in the coral garden before climbing back aboard the boat to head back to the hotel. There’s just time for one final stop off though, as you will visit one of the several occupied islands to see the homes of the seafaring tribes who inhabit them. (B, L)
On your final day on the tour you’ll enjoy breakfast before making your way back to Labuan Bajo Airport in anticipation of your onward journey. (B)

time of booking, with the remaining balance due any time up to 60 days
prior to your start date.

Day 1 & 3 :
This spectacular hotel is set over five floors in a spacious tropical garden. Drawing on typical Indonesian influences, the Bintang Flores exudes local style and charm and pairs them with modern conveniences. You’ll be able to jump into the large pool or relax on the private sandy beach. It’s completely up to you! The rooms in the hotel have all of the facilities necessary for an unforgettable stay, with TV’s, safety deposit boxes and individual air conditioning.
This is once in a lifetime opportunity to spend the night on a boat sailing through the waters of the Komodo National Park. After a days exploring you will have the chance to rest in the shared bedroom aboard the boat which may be cosy but will really get you up close and personal with the nature on show in this incredible part of the world.

In order to join this tour you will need to apply for a social/cultural Visa for Indonesia before you travel. You will need to send your completed application form, along with the relevant documentation, to your nearest Indonesian Embassy and you will receive a visa for 90 days which will be valid from the day of issue. Please bear in mind that if you are jopining this tour from another project/holiday in Indonesia you will need to take into account the fact that the Visa is 90 days from the date of issue, so please check your dates carefully before you travel.
MEALS AND BEVERAGES
The meals you will receive on the tour will vary between a mixture of Chinese cuisine and more traditional local dishes. Meals vary from day to day, and are marked in the itinerary with B, L, D marking breakfast, lunch and dinner.
FITNESS AND SKILLS
This Tour does not require an exceptional level of fitness. However, if you have any medical concerns or are taking any medications, it may be worth talking with your GP about this tour in advance. Please talk with us if you have any concerns.

The currency in Indonesia is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). The exchange rate is around 1000 IDR = 0.05 GBP, 0.07 USD, 0.07 EUR.
