Itinerary

Tour Highlights

  • Visiting Komodo Island, home of the Komodo Dragon
  • Swimming or snorkeling in the tropical Indonesian waters
  • Spending a night on a boat travelling between islands

The Komodo dragon is an animal which many people would immediately recognise, but few know much about. This tour is the perfect chance to see and learn more about one of the world’s most mysterious animals first-hand. You’ll visit various islands which the Komodo dragons call home, and will also have the chance to relax, swim and snorkel in the beautiful clear seas around the islands.

Itinerary (Day 1)

Day 1: Arrive at Labuan Bajo

You will arrive at Labuan Bajo Airport and be met by member of staff before being transferred to your hotel. Time permitting in the afternoon, you may also get to enjoy the breathtaking sights of the Batu Cermin Cave, home to many stalactites and stalagmites. Lunch is provided and you will return to the hotel for the night to ensure you are well rested for tomorrow’s activities!

Itinerary (Day 2)

Day 2: Rinca Island

There are many islands located in the Komodo National Park, and after breakfast, you will get the chance to visit one of the larger of these tropical paradises. Rinca Island is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including water buffalo, monkeys and, of course, the Komodo dragon - keep your eyes peeled, as your odds of spotting one are rather high! After an island trek in the warm conditions, take the opportunity to get refreshed by enjoying a swim or a snorkel in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island, or just relax on the beach!
In the afternoon, jump aboard the boat and enjoy lunch before sailing to Komodo Island and the night on the boat. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all provided on this day of the tour.

Itinerary (Day 3)

Day 3: Komodo Island

After a relaxing night spent aboard the boat, you will head out to Komodo Island and follow the trail to Banunggulung, a former feeding ground and an ideal place to watch the Komodo Dragons.
At around midday, you will begin the return journey to Labuan Bajo, stopping off en-route to visit Pantai Merah, with its he pink-coloured sandy beach! Here, you can swim and snorkel in the coral garden before climbing back aboard the boat to head back to the hotel. There’s time for one final stop off, however, as you will visit one of the several occupied islands to see the homes of the seafaring tribes who inhabit them. Breakfast and lunch are provided during this day of the tour.

Itinerary (Day 4)

Day 4: Labuan Bajo - Next Destination

On your final day on the tour, you’ll enjoy breakfast before being transferred back to Labuan Bajo Airport in anticipation of your onward journey.
