Have you ever wondered 'where can I volunteer to help animals?' Right here is an excellent way to start! Here are 4 reasons why you should choose The Great Projects. Whilst we may be small, that doesn’t mean we aren’t mighty! Especially considering the huge impact volunteers help us to have on our projects, and the expert level of knowledge throughout the team. So here are 4 reasons why you should be a part of something great for your next voluntourism trip abroad!
Reason 1: The Team
The Great Projects is compiled of 6 experts who are more than happy to help! Most of us have been to the projects and completed volunteer work ourselves, so when we’re relaying our budding conservation tales to you, you can be reassured they are genuine and honest! It is easy to say we know our stuff, and any members of staff would be able to fill your brain with countless random animal facts if you really wanted them to. Additionally, our team are caring and kind hearted with the ethos of The Great Projects at the forefront of their priorities. We choose to make a difference because we genuinely care. Our in house team can book your entire trip, and flights and travel insurance if you wish too! Pretty much, the only thing we can’t do is offer medical advice – whilst we can tell you if an animal is likely to give you rabies or not, we couldn’t suggest which vaccination to get to buy you some time against it, so best check with your GP for that one.
Reason 2: We Are Completely International
Remember I mentioned previously about small but mighty? This statement certainly rings true here: it doesn’t matter where you are from, you can volunteer at one of our projects abroad as long as you have the ability to speak English at a moderate level! In 2016, we had countless volunteers from a whopping 34 different countries around the globe. If you don’t want to cross continents, we’ve even got you covered there as we currently have 35 different projects and tours across 4 continents, so we are bound to find you something! We can offer you enchanting volunteer trips across Europe, The Americas, Africa and Asia. All you need to do is take your pick!
Reason 3: The Great Projects Bring You Regular Updates From Our Projects
Our marketing team bring regular and exclusive updates from our project sites, so you can always check in with your favourite critters from around the world right from your fingertips. The Great Projects is one of the few travel agents that run a blog such as ours, that include such updates, regular pictures and invaluable knowledge each day of the week!
Reason 4: Our Volunteers Make A Lasting Impact
No matter which project you choose to participate in, we can guarantee that your contribution will make an unprecedented lasting impact. The endangered species that roam our planet today are in dire need of protection if they want a chance at survival. By volunteering on one of our many fascinating endangered species volunteer opportunities, you will carry out specific daily tasks that each have a purpose of conserving the enchanting flora and fauna that can be encountered on our wildlife conservation projects. Check out The Great Projects volunteers’ most recent achievement at the Samboja Lestari Orangutan Volunteer Project: they have just completed a brand new playground for the baby orangutans! This playground will be a huge aid in orphaned orangutan rehabilitation, where the project have to teach the orphans all that their mums would in the wild. They use various forms of enrichment in which to do this, and their new play area will certainly help to stimulate their learning! In 2016, volunteers helped The Great Projects raise a staggering £238,077 for our projects!
So there you have why you should choose to volunteer abroad with The Great Projects!
