What is volunteering and why do it?
In simple terms, volunteering allows kind-hearted individuals to take part in an array of activities designed to make a difference to the causes that need a little extra assistance – in this case, wildlife organisations! What types of activities are carried out?
Your volunteer opportunity could see you working towards sea turtle conservation in Costa Rica, the rehabilitation of big cats and baboons in Africa, or researching whale sharks in the Maldives. Our projects will introduce you to a whole range of destinations and wildlife species around the globe, but it is important to take your time spent volunteering seriously. Activities such as construction, enclosure cleaning, and day-to-day maintenance are equally as important as enrichment, feeding the animals and observation tasks, so do be prepared to be flexible!
