This country is home to 10-12% of the world’s biodiversity, meaning that no matter which part of the country you choose to explore, you can expect to see a plethora of animal life. Mexico ranks first in the world for biodiversity in reptiles, with 707 species; second for mammals, with 438 species; and fourth for amphibians, with 290 species. The government has made huge efforts to help protect the wildlife in the country, too, with the creation of 34 reserve biospheres, 64 National Parks, and 17 sanctuaries.

Wildlife
As mentioned above, Mexico harbours a wealth of ecosystems and, as a result, the country is home to a wide variety of animal life. Some of the animals you can expect to see roaming across the Mexican ecosystems include: iguanas, howler monkeys, parrots, jaguars, ocelots, and even flamingos!
However, some of the most spectacular animals sightings to be had in Mexico are to be found beneath the waves. Surrounded by both the Bay of Mexico and the Pacific Ocean, the marine wildlife here is second to none. If you travel to Mexico, you may be able to spot manatees, grey whales, manta rays, whale sharks and even bull sharks in certain waters. If you love wildlife and want to have the chance to see it in its natural environment, Mexico is the place to visit.
Culture
Mexico’s culture stretches back 100’s of years, and the country is famous for its ancient civilizations and varied historical traditions. A huge percentage of the country speaks Spanish, but there are small pockets around the country which still speak one of the 62 different Amerindian languages.
One of the most famous holidays in Mexico is the Day of the Dead, and this holiday is celebrated each year as a way to remember those who are no longer with us. The festival has grown over the years, and nowadays it is common to see people dressed in bright colours with intricately carved sugar skulls! The people of Mexico are extremely welcoming and love sharing their culture with people of other nationalities,so you're sure to leave Mexico with some stories to tell!

- Mexico City – The capital of this beautiful country, Mexico City has undergone a transformation in recent years. Once overlooked, the city is now a glistening example of Mexican culture. It has so many things to see that you will be exploring for days, so make sure you plan your time well.
