Colin's Fabulous Fundraising Pays Off At Samboja!

Colin's Fabulous Fundraising Pays Off At Samboja!

Posted by Connor Whelan on 12th Apr 2017

We have received an amazing update from the Samboja Lestari Orangutan Project over in Borneo! One of our fantastic volunteers, Colin Baker, has seen his fundraising efforts pay off as thanks to a combination of his hard work and donations from the rest of our volunteers; the team were able to purchase a brand new cement mixer! Below you can see the current crop of volunteers admiring the mixer, shortly before it was put to work creating some of the new platforms that will be a permanent fixture at Samboja for many years to come!

This group of volunteers have been very hard at work too, as two of the platforms on island 5 are well on their way to being completed! Progress was also made on the new baby playground, so hopefully we will be able to bring you more exciting news on this soon!

We would like to take the chance to say a huge thank you to Colin for his efforts in raising money towards the cement mixer as this piece of kit will go a long way towards the conservation efforts at Samboja.
