Here at the Great Projects we love to see our volunteers interacting with the local people who reside in the areas the projects are based in.

This is exactly what happened when our competition winner from last year, Raphaella, visited the Iban Tribe on the Orangutan and Tribes Tour last month! She managed to charm the children of the tribe by introducing them to the app Snapchat on her phone!

For those who do not know, Snapchat is an app which allows the user to take pictures overlaid with a funny filter which distorts your face. This is something that the children of the tribe found to be incredibly entertaining, so with a picture speaking a thousand words, we will let them do the talking from now onward!

As you can see, the app helped make this child's smile even larger!

Here we have Raphaella wearing her flower crown!

As you can see, the children absolutely loved seeing themselves in all manner of odd faces and we are delighted to be able to bring you this update all the way from Borneo!
