Travel Consultant - £32,000 - £38,000pa + Up to £6,000 in Bonuses

About the Role

The Great Projects is looking for a hard-working and dedicated individual to join the travel team to assist with client bookings and prepare existing clients before they travel. They must have good attention to detail and work well within a small team where good communication skills are vital. Alongside assisting clients, they will also liaise directly with suppliers abroad, meaning good interpersonal and organisational skills will be crucial. Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to all leads and enquiries generated on a daily basis
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, following the company's sales process via email and on the phone
  • Provide clients with all the information they may need prior to travel
  • Liaise with overseas suppliers to ensure everything is organised prior to a client’s arrival
  • Participate and cooperate with colleagues to achieve team objectives
  • Meet/exceed sales targets
  • Assist with various administrative tasks

Skills and Experience Required

  • Personable with a great telephone manner
  • Knowledge of the travel industry/well-travelled
  • An interest in wildlife and wildlife conservation
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Experience working as a travel consultant or in a similar role is preferable

The Package

Salary is dependent on experience, with an initial basic of £32,000 - £38,000p/a. A benefits package is also available with bonuses of up to £6,000p/a as well as incentives and travel discounts.

Additional Information

  • Trips abroad for product training at the various wildlife conservation projects we offer may be part of the job role after an initial period but are no more frequent than once per year
  • You must be able to commute to Ware, Hertfordshire
  • Working hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday, and every other week Saturday from 10:00am – 3:00pm with Thursday off.
